Wanna Go Back brings the 90s-flavored Piano House vibe straight into Ableton Live. Inspired by the sound of HAVEN - “I Run”, this project blends upbeat drums, bright piano riffs layered with organ, and an infectious vocal hook into a catchy, radio-ready dance-floor banger.
Like all our templates, it’s designed so you can easily dissect and shape it however you like. Every main element is set as a MIDI track, giving you the freedom to swap drum samples, change melodies, adjust Serum presets, tweak automation, modify the structure, or even slow it down into a deeper, moodier groove.
Because everything is MIDI-based, the template also works as a learning tool. You can open each channel and see how the drums, piano, synth layers, effect chains, and mastering come together. Solo individual parts, learn the processing, and follow the arrangement from start to finish - nothing is hidden, so you can explore how each sound was created and processed.
You can save every clip, instrument rack, effect chain, and mastering chain to build your own library of ready-to-use tools for future production. The project is fully mixed and mastered using Ableton Live's native effects and requires only Serum.
Wanna Go Back gives you a solid starting point for mainstream Dance and Piano House productions and plenty of inspiration to take the idea wherever you want.
For your convenience, the template comes in two versions to ensure compatibility with both Serum 1 and Serum 2.
What you need to work with this Ableton template:
