Somewhere Different is an Electronica Ableton template inspired by Seiloh’s track Far. The project combines slow-paced drums with a droning bassline, moody synths, ambient pads, and vocal phrases into a cinematic and atmospheric track.
All main tracks are set as MIDI, which means you can easily edit the melodies, drums, synth presets, automation, and overall structure. Whether you want to turn it into a fully original track, flip it into a different genre, or fit it to a visual timeline, the project offers the flexibility to support a range of your creative ideas.
Thanks to the MIDI tracks, the template is fully open, allowing you to explore how each sound was designed and processed. You can solo individual tracks, break down the layering, check routing and effect chains, and follow the structure and flow of the arrangement. Almost every element can be adjusted, saved, and reused in your own productions.
The template is mixed and mastered using only Ableton Live’s native effects and requires just one third-party plugin: Serum.
If you're an Electronica producer or working on electronic movie trailers, this Ableton template can serve as a flexible starting point or a resource for sounds, ideas, and inspiration.
What you need to work with this Ableton template:
