Amara is an Afro House Ableton template inspired by artists like Maz and Antdot. The template combines percussive drums, deep bass, a repetitive kalimba melody, warm piano chords, and a gliding guitar line.
Each track is fully customizable, as all the main drum and instrument tracks are set up as MIDI tracks. This means nothing is locked in audio, giving you the freedom to replace drum samples, change drum patterns, tweak melodies, adjust processing, and reshape the entire structure to fit your vision. You can even experiment with different tempos, turning it into a drum & bass or pop track without any pitch artifacts.
Even kalimba and guitar tracks are fully customizable, as they are made with multi-sampled instrument racks, not bounced audio. Most of the percussion, like bongos, congas, and shakers, are also based on multi-sampled drum racks, allowing you to easily modify patterns and groove.
This level of openness makes Amara not just a starting point, but also a valuable resource for learning music production techniques. You can dissect the project and analyze every sample, track, instrument, and effect chain, so you can learn from them and reuse them in your own tracks.
The template is produced, mixed and mastered using only Ableton Live’s native instruments and effects, so there’s no need for third-party plugins or expensive sample libraries — everything you need is included and ready to use "out of the box."
Amara is a solid starting point for your Afro House productions and provides all essential sounds, instruments, and complete flexibility to create unique and original tracks.
