Feeling Free is an Ableton remake of ZULAN – Forever. It features all the core elements of a mainstream UK Garage track - shuffled drums, a huge reese bassline, female vocals, and accompanying synths, pads, and effects that create the overall atmosphere.
All main parts are set up as MIDI, giving you full freedom to change anything from drum samples and patterns to melodies, automation, sound design, and overall structure. The project is designed to be flexible, so you can use it for remixing, add original vocals, or reshape it into something entirely new, even in a different genre or tempo.
Everything is fully editable, with no frozen tracks. You can explore any rack, effect chain, or synth and see exactly how each sound was made and processed.
The template uses only Ableton’s built-in effects for mixing and mastering, with Serum as the only third-party plugin required.
Whether you want to use it as a starting point for a new track or as a way to learn how to make UK Garage in Ableton, the full project is open and easy to work with.
For your convenience, the template comes in two versions to ensure compatibility with both Serum 1 and Serum 2.
What you need to work with this Ableton template:
- Ableton Live 11 (or higher) Standard or Suite
- Serum v1.363/v2.0.16 (or higher)
