Spikes is an Ableton remake of Eli Brown, Layton Giordani, and OFFAIAH's track "When I Push." This template delivers a driving mix of tight drums, a pulsating bassline, a rolling pluck, and down-pitched vocals, capturing the essence of the original track.
The template is fully customizable, with all main drum and synth tracks set as MIDI. This means nothing is bounced to audio, allowing you to easily modify and personalize each sound and track. Whether you want to replace drum samples, change melodies, adjust synth presets, or even rework the entire structure, the flexibility is there to create something unique and original.
Our templates are also a valuable resource for learning music production techniques. You can break down and analyze every aspect, from the drum patterns and synth layering to the processing and mastering. Every element is open for exploration, making it a useful tool for improving your production skills.
Spikes is mixed and mastered using Ableton Live’s native effects, with only Serum required as a third-party plugin.
This Ableton template is a solid foundation for creating your own Driving and Peak Time Techno tracks, with ready-to-use sounds and instruments that can be adjusted to fit your vision.
What you need to work with this Ableton template:
