The Beat Goes On is an Ableton remake of Chuckie, MC Ambush, and Truth x Lies – Drum. It delivers a clean Tech House project with punchy drums, a driving low-end bassline, and a distinctive synth stab that carries the track.
Because the main instruments are set up as MIDI tracks, you can easily adapt the project to your own ideas - whether that’s changing drum samples, adjusting Serum presets, or experimenting with new melodies. It also works as a learning resource, letting you see how each element fits together in the mix, from drum layering to synth processing.
The template uses only Ableton Live’s effects for mixing and mastering, with Serum as the single required plugin.
The Beat Goes On gives you a practical way to study the production techniques behind the original track while keeping everything open for you to rework it into something completely your own.
For your convenience, the template comes in two versions to ensure compatibility with both Serum 1 and Serum 2.

Yes, Ableton Live is backward compatible. You can open projects saved in earlier versions of Ableton Live with newer versions of the software without any issues.
