Payout is an Ableton remake of Cash Out by Sidepiece. It captures the track’s minimal and straightforward energy, featuring tight drums, a chunky bassline, and a piercing synth lead. The project gives you a clean and flexible starting point for producing modern Tech House with a simple, but effective arrangement.
All core elements are set up as MIDI, so you can freely edit everything - from drum patterns and samples to bass automation, melodies, and structure. You can easily adapt the project to your topline or flip it into something deeper, groovier, or more mainstage.
Like all our Ableton templates, nothing is frozen, so you can solo tracks, check the processing behind each sound, and dig into how the effects and instruments are designed. It’s a hands-on way to understand the production techniques behind this kind of sound and a useful base if you want to experiment.
The project is mixed and mastered with Ableton Live’s native effects and only requires Serum.
Whether you're dissecting it to learn or starting your next Tech House banger, Payout gives you a flexible and editable session to work from.
For your convenience, the template comes in two versions to ensure compatibility with both Serum 1 and Serum 2.
What you need to work with this Ableton template:
